It's More Fun in Vigan

     Vigan, a place where you can capture the exciting activities of Bigueños that showcase their talents and creativity. Did you know that starting from January 18th, people in Vigan have been gathering to witness activities that capture their interest? If not, what are you waiting for? Come and enjoy the beauty of Vigan City. 

    These past few days, witnessing the different activities conducted in Vigan was mesmerizing, I couldn't believe I got to know the cultures and traditions there. Here are a few of the activities that will surely get you to visit Vigan City soon:

Longganisa Festival 

    In this activity, you will see different choreographies prepared by each contingent. One person acts as the Festival Queen, holding the statue of San Pablo. You can also enjoy lively music produced by the drummers that will make you want to dance. This includes two parts: street dancing and the showdown proper. Witnessing this activity will surely amaze you.

Sayaw, Talento, at Galing ng Educators Competition 

   

    In this activity, you will witness the diverse talents of educators represented by different schools in Vigan. The way they depict the history of Vigan is truly amazing. I'm sure that you'll gain a lot of information from their performances. 

Search for Miss Vigan 2024

    

    In this activity, you'll witness the beauty and wit of the representatives per cluster. Their talents will keep you shouting for sure. Also, the way they showcase the rich culture of Vigan through photographs is truly stunning. 

Marching Band Competition

    In this activity, you'll witness the talents of each representative from schools in Vigan. The skills of the Majorette, Balancers, Flaglets, Lyres, and Drummers will keep you standing throughout the performance. The music they play might even get you singing, especially if you're familiar with it. 

    As someone who had the chance to visit Vigan City, I can say that I really enjoyed the activities there. Through these activities, I got to know a lot about their culture and traditions. If you're planning to visit Vigan City soon, fasten your seatbelts, as it is truly a roller coaster ride full of surprises. Be ready to capture the moments.

    As I reflect on my second-quarter journey, it has been filled with surprises. I have gained many lessons that helped me succeed, yet I also learned to accept the mistakes I committed. Through creating blog posts this quarter, I managed to express myself. In our ICT subject, I discovered the basics of tags and how to properly use them. Furthermore, I learned to manage my time effectively due to the heavy loads of assignments given to us. 

    Still, one main problem that I encountered this quarter is academic pressure. I know I could have done better in achieving high scores in our quizzes, yet I still end up disappointing myself. In this matter, I still have hope for improvement. We can't deny the fact that most of us experience this kind of problem; the expectations of other people are what triggers us to do well in everything we do. I addressed this challenge by constantly reminding myself not to give in to pressure and to let things flow. Regardless of the outcome, I know that I gave my best.

    Moving on, I will apply the learnings from this second-quarter to consistently improve and explore new avenues. Although my second-quarter journey didn't go as expected, I am proud to say that I have managed to overcome its challenges.

Rizal's Legacy

   

    Years have passed since our national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal, dedicated himself to the pursuit of unity in our country. His exemplary efforts serve as an inspiration for all of us, encouraging the fight for our rights. He remains a figure worthy of admiration. 

 

    When it comes to his contributions, I believe that he had done his all. His literary masterpieces, "Noli Me Tangere" and "El Filibusterismo", showed the harsh realities of his era, urging us to reflect on the injustices prevalent during that time. Moreover, his timeless assertion, "Ang Kabataan ang Pag-asa ng Bayan", stands as an evidence of the transformative power of his ideas, which continue to shape our perspectives. 

    Dr. Jose Rizal's commitment to the pursuit of unity and justice echoes through the ages. His literary works not only exposed the societal ills of his time but also ignited a spark of change in the hearts and minds of those who encountered them. His legacy remains as a guide that reminds us that the fight for our rights and betterment of society is a continuous journey, one that each generations must embrace with purpose.

Fresh Beginnings

     Time flies so fast, I can't believe it's year 2024 already! I'll surely enjoy this year to the fullest and I'm sure that it will be a roller coaster ride for me. There will be changes that will for sure shape me to become better and there will be problems that may arise, well, it's really expected because problems are part of our lives.

    This year, I want to stick to my resolution of exploring new things. I am committed to expounding my interests and passions. This includes delving deeper into subjects that captivate my curiosity and actively seeking out opportunities for personal and intellectual growth. By dedicating time and energy to expanding my knowledge and skills, I aim to foster a more enriching and fulfilling life. 

    The best is yet to come, indeed! I am ready to embark to another year of my life and capture memories that will forever remain in my heart. Here's to a year of discovery, learning, and embracing the joy that comes with broadening my horizons.
