Childhood Empowerment

In the past months, witnessing children barely surviving on the streets, selling items to satisfy their hunger, and lacking shelter to sleep is truly alarming. This is not the life they've dreamed of.

Using social media and other platforms to raise awareness about children's health issues, sharing information about common illnesses, advocating for vaccination programs, educating communities about the importance of immunizations in preventing diseases, and promoting overall child health are ways for me to support and ensure the promotion of children's rights and welfare particularly in health care.

With these efforts, I am certain that I can help in promoting children's rights especially when it comes to their health. They deserve a chance to be nourished and experience life without thinking how they can provide the basic needs for themselves.

Learning, Evolving, Adapting

Looking back at the things I've experienced in the first quarter, I'd admit that it was very tough for me, mainly because I couldn't keep up in our classes. Though the first quarter was a rough start for me, I enjoyed doing the activities that were given to us by our teachers. The subjects captured my interest because we were given the chance to explore different things that we don't know yet. In ICT 10, I know for a fact that my favorite lesson is about creating blogs. This served as a way for me to communicate my feelings to certain topics.

The main problem that I have encountered is academic pressure. There are so many questions going through my head, and one of them is, "How will I perform better this year?" I know that my parents always reassure me that it is okay to fail as long as I've tried my best, but I cannot disregard the idea of "Who am I without my academic achievements?" I'm trying to avoid the pressure that I'm giving to myself but I just can't. I addressed this challenge of mine by taking things slowly and constantly reminding myself not to give in to pressure. I will continue doing the things that I love but with a touch of determination.

Moving on, I will consistently try my best to improve for my betterment, to accept such failure, and to continue exploring. There may be disappointments that occurred throughout my first-quarter journey, but that doesn't make it negative.

Green Practices: Capturing Earth's Care in Photos

It is our responsibility to take care of our planet as individuals. Nature provide us the essential things in order for us to survive. Through this photoblog, different actions that contributes to preserving the environment will be shown.

In this photo, me and my aunt are seen watering plants. We each hold watering tools and work together to nurture the plants. This simple act embodies a connection to nature.

As seen in the picture, me and my father are working together to clear a path for vehicles. We carried a wood to set it aside for the vehicles to pass. The picture demonstrates the practicality and unity of human effort in ensuring smooth traffic flow.

As captured in the photo, me and my father are engaged in the task of weed removal. We worked in tandem, bending down to extract unwanted plants from the soil. This captures the simplicity and shared effort to maintain a thriving environment.

As shown in the picture, me and my mother are focused on our task of sweeping fallen leaves. We each hold a broom and worked together to finish the task faster. The picture serves as a reminder of the beauty in collective action in maintaining a clean surrounding.

In this image, me and my neighbor are standing side by side holding a heavy bucket of garbage. Our collective effort to clean up the environment is noticeable, serving as a powerful reminder of the urgent need for responsible waste disposal.

Simple actions such as the photographs above could greatly impact the environment. This photoblog shows that even our small gestures could help preserve our environment.

Inflation Concerns: A Letter to the President

Dear Mr. President,

I am writing you this letter to let you know my concerns regarding the main problem that is occurring in our country.

I hope that you will solve the problem regarding inflation due to the fact that many people are unable to purchase the things that they need due to the increase of prices. Many are tirelessly working to provide for their family and yet it is still not enough for them to buy the necessary items they need. This can also affect us students since budgeting our allowance can be hard for all of us.

And with that, I kindly request that you, together with your administration to take these concerns seriously and work eagerly to find effective solutions to address inflation and its effects in our society. Thank you for your time and consideration. I have faith in your commitment and look forward to witnessing positive changes.
